New System Will Enable Warehouse Operators and Carriers to Set Appointments and Manage Dock Door Scheduling

Coppell, Tex. -- Blue Sky Technologies, Inc., a real-time supply chain visibility software provider, has launched a new appointment management system.  Named JanusAMS™ after the mythical Roman god Janus, the web-based, Software-as-a-Service program offers shippers online access to warehouse dock door scheduling and provides for appointment setting with each shipper’s motor carriers.

            In addition, JanusAMS™ will print gate passes for each of the carriers, enabling faster entry for them into the warehouse marshalling yard.  The new software compliments the range of technology offerings developed by Blue Sky Technologies, whose flagship package Insight™ offers shippers dashboard technology for increased visibility into their supply chain activities.

In Roman mythology, Janus was the god of gates, doors, doorways, beginnings and endings. His most apparent remnants in modern culture are his namesakes: the month of January, which begins the New Year, and the janitor, who is a caretaker of doors and halls.
